  1. Tokyo 2020 archery venue unveiled:

The archery venue for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games was officially unveiled on Sunday becoming the first of the Games’ new venues to be completed. Yumenoshima Park Archery Field, located on a former landfill site, was set for completion in May. Other than the Olympic Stadium and the Olympic and Paralympic athletes village, Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) is building eight new competition venues for the Games.

  • Xi calls for advancement of china- Djibouti strategic relationship:

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Sunday called for the advancement of China-Djibouti strategic relationship. Xi Jinping made the call when he met with Djiboutian President Ismail Omar Guelleh in Beijing. Xi said China is willing to work with Djibouti to continuously promote the bilateral strategic partnership, stressing the joint building of the Belt and Road and the implementation of the outcomes reached at the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. “China will continue to provide support for Djibouti’s economic and social development, exchange experience on development, and encourage competitive Chinese enterprises to invest and expand businesses in Djibouti,” he said.

Uganda has crowned its most curvaceous woman at the inaugural Miss Curvy pageant in Kampala The event was criticized by women’s rights campaigners and some religious leaders as immoral and as an attempt to objectify the female body. But Uganda’s tourism ministry defended it, saying the contest would be used to market the country’s tourism potential.
